Pursuit of Happiness

I took Jenna back to Miami Campus the other day and gave her the ol' parental speech .......  "You need to use this time in college to explore what path will make you happy".  At that point I said - "Obviously you know what makes your Dad happy - Right?  ----------------- Long Pause --------------

This is a "loaded question" and dangerous for the child to answer.  Jenna was smart to wait me out.   I then interjected my version of what I defined as my personal happiness - to which Jenna then added some points of perspective.

As I reflect on this discussion,  I discovered how tough a question this is - and how challenging the pursuit of happiness is.

I'm not happy yet with my answer  :)
